Rewilders’ Blog
My musings from the world of life coaching, written from my home town of Sheffield.
Walking coaching?
Never heard of ‘walking coaching’? I get it, I hadn’t when I first started coaching. But once you experienced it, you’ll never want to be coached any other way.
Watch this video below to discover what it’s all about.
The retreat day you deserve.
Does anyone else struggle to grow sunflowers?
Every year we plant the seeds with such high hopes and joy, but then life gets in the way. We forget to water them, and most just... wilt. It’s now feels like a numbers game. Plant 15 seeds and cross your fingers that one little seed is strong enough to survive the drought….
Double standards.
Consider this scenario…
You’re interviewing someone online for a job. At the start time, you’re sat on the call, waiting for the person to arrive.
The minutes tick by. 10.01. 10.02. 10.03. 10.04.
The answers aren't in your computer screen.
I'm a scribbler. Always have been.
My mind works in pictures, connections and links.
This is one of the things that my clients find quite helpful when working with me. I reflect back to them what I hear them say, but it a different way. A way that gives them a new perspective…
Why failing never felt so good.
I’ve recently had a bit of a revelation.
In my world, you hear phrases like "there is no failure, only feedback" banded around a lot. But despite knowing 'intellectually' that failure was ok, it still felt icky to me.
Recently however, in amongst a MASSIVE parenting failure, I had a bit of a new experience…
I don’t know what to do with my life
So you’ve got some big questions…
Where am I going? What do I want to do with my life?
What does success look like?
Is success what life is really all about?
Who am I?
What do I really care about?
The most important New Year’s Resolution
My mother-in-law used to say 'how you do something, is how you do everything."
𝘏𝘰𝘸 you do things...
How you show up to your work, for your family.
The attitude you have whilst doing the washing up…
What is the secret to growing a business?
What is the secret to growing a business?
Is there a magical path that works for every person every time?
I don’t know about you…
But I’m not convinced.
This woman is out to change the world
This is Tinuke.
Mum. Entrepreneur. Mental health campaigner.
Yesterday she did something outstanding…
Stop comparing yourself to others
When you work from the local coffee shop.
With your lovely friend.
And it looks like you have life and work just sorted.
But what's not visible….
Change starts at home
Change starts at home.
This is my Dad.
At the weekend we went home to celebrate his birthday.
Him and I went for a run.
It’s our ‘thing’ that we do together.
Daddy daughter time.
One apple is really all you need
There was only one apple.
But it was the right apple.
At the right height.
At the right time.
Sometimes it turns out that one apple is really all you need.
On those stuck days
On those stuck days.
Those days where you feel like things should be moving forwards but they aren't.
There's always one key question that I come back to….
Why purpose-led businesses are winning
Many people question whether it is possible to run a business that both makes money and does good.
Join me and James West from the Onle Network as we explore why businesses who are led by a greater purpose than just making money are not only winning, but are also making the world a better place at the same time.
How to deal with rejection
I’m currently playing a game. It’s very simple, and if you play, you & your business will never be the same again, but to play you’ve got to have courage. The game is to get REJECTED 20 TIMES in the next 2 weeks.
How to have better conversations
Let’s face it, we all like to be right. It makes us feel smart, cool and secure. The challenge though is that to be right, we often think we have to tell someone else they’re wrong. And you can imagine how much we all hate being told we’re wrong.
How to quieten your mind chatter
Ever have that annoying inner voice kick in just when you don’t want it to? Eg just before a big important meeting? Mine goes a bit like this:
“Oh really, you’re going to do that?”
“Remember what happened last time, when you embarrassed yourself?”
“Shouldn’t you do something a bit easier?”
I’ve named him Goyle. And he can be a right pain in the bum.
A simple trick to boost your mood
Start counting chimney pots. Err what now??
Yep. That’s correct. Start counting as many chimney pots as you can & I’m telling you that by next Friday you will be in a better mood than when you started.
I know. It sounds mental. But trust me, there’s science in this madness..
What the heck is an entrepreneur?
The word ‘entrepreneur’ always used to hold these connotations for me of somebody who was successful, powerful, bold and daring. But I think the Oxford English Dictionary gives a better definition by simply stating that it is ‘A person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit.’ Definitely a lot less glamourous.
Purpose in Business
I’ve had the pleasure of being a guest speaker on various podcasts and at networking groups- discussing how vital purpose is within successful, sustainable businesses.
