The answers aren't in your computer screen.
I'm a scribbler. Always have been.
My mind works in pictures, connections and links.
This is one of the things that my clients find quite helpful when working with me. I reflect back to them what I hear them say, but it a different way. A way that gives them a new perspective.
Maybe as an analogy, or, as happened recently, a venn diagram in the dirt.
When you're out coaching in nature, the landscape becomes your 'resources'.
No powerpoint, pens or post-it notes here.
It's fingers in the earth, it's mapping out complex relationships by assigning roles to trees, it's looking at a view and imagining yourself where you are now, and where you want to be.
On this occasion, we were talking about being vs. doing... a circle in the earth to represent each, and a question as to where the cross-over might be found, and what it might look like.
I don't coach in the outdoors just because it's a 'nice thing to do'. Although, yes, it absolutely is.
The main reason is because it helps you get better results. Away from your laptop, away from your regular environment... you think better, you think clearer, you think differently.
The answers aren't in your computer screen. They're in you.
You will find them, with you give yourself the time and space to look.
Go get outside 🙂
