3 simple questions to change your thinking
Sometimes (/nearly always) as humans, we over complicate things.
There’s a lot of terminology that flies around in the coaching world, but often, keeping it simple, is the most effective thing.
Enter the word ‘thing’.
A fantastic word to use when you’re trying to express something you feel deeply, but can’t quite put words too.
Here are three thought provoking ideas for you, that might help shift the way you look at things today. All using the word thing.
Two things can be true at the same time, even if they seem completely contradictory. e.g. I love this thing, & this thing drives me mad. Both true. Both seemingly in opposition. What does it look like to sit with that, and honour both truths, without trying to change them?
Can something be our thing, if it’s also someone else’s thing? Hmm. So often we define what we can and can’t do by the people around us and our context. What if something could be our thing, AND someone else’s thing? And the things might just express themselves differently, and be all the more beautiful because of it?
That ‘forever’ thing we’ve all been searching for, maybe that doesn’t even exist. But what if we put all our time into the thing that feels right, right now, without worrying if it’s the forever thing or not? Simply because right now, it feels like the most important thing?
Which most struck a chord with you?
